PFTrack Documentation | Project Manager |
All work carried out in PFTrack occurs within a project, and a project must be open before any of the application's features are accessible.
The project folder stores all the information related to the clips that have been loaded and the nodes that have been created. All loaded media is referenced externally and is not copied into the project folder.
A project is structured on disk as a directory containing a number of files and sub-directories. Projects can become large in size and benefit from rapid disk access, so make sure they are stored on a fast disk with plenty of free space.
PFTrack will save the project automatically as required. When PFTrack starts it will automatically load the last used project if one is available. If not, the Project Manager will be displayed. allowing you to create a new project or load an existing old from disk.
The Project Manager is composed of several parts:
1 The first section contains buttons for creating a new project and opening an existing project, along with a list of the 10 most recently opened projects.
2 This section contains information about the current project, if one is open. This includes the location and name of the project folder, details about the amount of disk space being used, and timestamps for when the project was created and last opened. Buttons are also available to manually save the project if desired, or save the entire project under a new name or location. Details of all media clips referenced by the project are also shows on the right.
3 Once a project is opened, the Project Manager can be displayed at any time by clicking the Project Manager button.
